Treatment with Platelet Rich Plasma PRP, also known as the Dracula or Vampire treatment, is a relatively new treatment in aesthetic skincare. Our blood contains platelets whose growth factors stimulate the skin's cellular rejuvenation, production of collagen and elastic fibers. The result is a more youthful, smoother, and more elastic skin. For many years, the bio-rejuvenating cell technology has been used for, among other things, complicated bone fractures. The treatment has gained popularity in the aesthetic field because it is perceived as natural and uses the body's own chemical substances. How does it work? The treatment begins with a small amount of blood being drawn from the patient, as in a regular blood test. The plasma and platelets are separated from the blood through centrifugation and stabilized with a gel. The plasma with a high concentration of platelets contains various growth factors that improve the healing process of damaged and aged skin. Finally, the plasma is injected into the areas to be treated. The treatment takes approximately 45 minutes. The number of treatments needed varies depending on your individual skin. For most people, 1–3 treatments per year with 6–12 weeks apart are sufficient. A treatment program is designed based on your skin's unique condition. There is no limit to the number of treatments that can be performed. After treatment Immediately after treatment, the patient may experience swelling that lasts up to 24 hours. Minor bruising at injection sites may occur. Collagen renewal, skin structure, and tone will gradually improve, with maximum effect achieved after three months. Treatment results are naturally individual, but normally the effect lasts up to 18 months. By continuously repeating the treatment, the results can be maintained.
