Botox is a very well-established method for treating lines on the forehead, glabella (between the eyebrows), and around the eyes. The treatment works by injecting Botox into the muscles that contract the skin during various facial expressions. These muscles then relax and lose the ability to contract. This in turn allows the skin to relax and smooth out. Longevity varies from person to person, but generally speaking, the results last longer with each subsequent treatment. Please note that full effect is not achieved until 10–14 days after treatment. Therefore, a follow-up visit is always scheduled to assess the results after 2 weeks.
